Latin American Poker Tour Kicks Off
Latin American Poker Tour Kicks Off
Posted on May 4, 2008 by Seth YoungThe Latin American Poker Tour begins today in Rio Di Janeiro, Brazil, and all 300 seats to the event are expected to sell out.
The event costs $2500 to enter and is sponsored by Pokerstars. Pokerstars' Andre Akkari will represent Brazil, while Greg Raymer, Vanessa Rousso, Chris Moneymaker and others will be in town for the event.
The second stop for the LAPT will be in Costa Rica, a hot spot for poker, and hometown of Humberto Brenes. Following Costa Rica, the LAPT will stop in Uruguay.
