Day 1a has come and gone at the European Poker Tour's newest stop in San Remo, Italy, and Ville Nyman is the chip leader with over $107,000 in chips.

The first notable player to crack the top ten in chips is Isaac "WestMenloAA" Baron, online poker phenom that has put up impressive results both on and offline.

Notable survivors of Day 1a include Italian Luca Pagano, Roland de Wolfe, Brandon Schaefer, Dag Palovic, Markus Golser, and Dario Minieri.

Day 1b starts shortly with another star studded field.
